I start by asking questions, not giving answers.

Before anything else, I want to understand who I am working with. What does your team struggle with? What are your students afraid of? What does success actually look like not on paper, but in practice? This initial conversation shapes everything that follows. For workshops, it means I can tailor content to your real organisational challenges. For students, it means I can meet them where they are, not where a syllabus assumes them to be.

The experience is never off-the-shelf.

Once I understand the context, I design the engagement. For workshops, this means selecting the right methodology, whether that is the art-based openness of Unlocking Creativity, the structured rigour of Design Thinking, or something in between, and calibrating pace, exercises, and depth to your team's profile. For teaching, it means structuring a learning arc that moves students from uncertainty to confidence, from theory to making, from making to meaning. Nothing I do is templated. Everything is built for those who are in the room.

I create the conditions for insight, not just instruction.

In a workshop or a classroom, my role is not to perform expertise, it is to open up a space where participants can think more freely, more bravely, and more clearly than they usually do. I bring energy, direction, and structure. But the real work happens between people, in the conversations, the sketches, the moments when someone says, "I had never thought of it that way before." That is what I am here for.

The end of a session is the beginning of something.

Every workshop closes with a reflective session, and every course module ends with a moment of integration. I want participants to leave not just with new skills or ideas, but with a clear sense of how to carry those forward, into their next project, their next team conversation, their next creative challenge. Learning that does not transfer is just performance. I am interested in the kind of change that sticks.

I keep learning, too.

My teaching and facilitation practice is not fixed. It is shaped by every cohort I teach, every organisation I work with, and every conversation I have with students, peers, and clients. Sitting on the Awwwards and AIVA juries, contributing to Designathon, running Threefold alongside my academic work, these are not side activities. They are how I stay in contact with what the field actually needs. That currency feeds back into everything I do.
